Overview

Under limited supervision, will serve as a customer focused project implementation manager working with internal staff and contractors to implement enterprise wide software systems.  This is a 2-year Term-Limited position.  Job requirements include process engineering, vendor management, mutually agreed upon requirements development, scope management, ensure project stays on schedule and have fun!

Essential Duties

  1. Acts as project software implementation manager. Manages budgets, scope and schedules.
  2. Lead and facilitate process engineering and requirements gathering.
  3. Makes presentations to project and steering team.
  4. Coordinates project contracts and interagency agreements; manages performance of vendors, ensures adherence to contracts.
  5. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Three years project management experience launching enterprise wide software systems.
  3. Three years of experience with process engineering and requirements gathering. Working knowledge of a variety of office computer software.

 

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above may be considered.

 

Preferred

  1. Project Management certification.
  2. Experience with project management frameworks like SCRUM, Kanban, etc.
  3. Experience with process improvement frameworks like as Lean or Six Sigma.

 

Entry Requirements for: Knowledge and Skills

 

Qualification to enter this position requires knowledge of the following:

  1. Project management principles and techniques.
  2. Process engineering principles and techniques.
  3. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  4. Knowledge of software applications.

 

Qualification to enter this position requires skill in:

  1. Project management and ability to integrate new technologies.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Strong leadership qualities to drive cross functional work and decision making.
  5. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically.
  6. Technical and non-technical written and verbal presentation and communication.
  7. Identify, monitor and manage resolution of project lists that impact project milestones.
  8. Managing consultants and vendors work.
  9. Use of PC-based software in support of planning programs/projects.
  10. Work independently with limited supervision.
  11. Clearly communicate with internal staff, vendors and consultants.

 

Physical Requirements

Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, carrying.

 

Sedentary Work: Exerting 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
