Overview

As an HRIS Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the Employee Engagement department staff improve their operational infrastructure.  You will improve processes and efficiency by understanding department needs, capturing project requirements, collaborating cross-functionally, and providing and implementing process recommendations.

Essential Duties

  • Define roadmap and strategy.  Work to identify unused functionality and implement better systems.  Monitor and track project progression and timeline.  Work proactively to resolve issues to ensure project success.
  • Develop complex report queries and reports.  Gather business requirements from stakeholders to determine reports and data needed.  Utilize query tools to develop spreadsheets, reports, and review data.
  • Administer various systems to support HR processes.  Participate in cross-training to support areas including:
    • Pre-employment processes such as recruiting and background checks.
    • Employee processes such as onboarding, personnel records, performance evaluations, and employee status changes.
    • Payroll and benefits processes, including payroll administration, pay and benefits changes, and annual benefits open enrollment. 
  • Keep track of technological advancements and trends.  Work to identify areas where new technology can be used to make process improvements. 
  • Identify, research, and analyze system errors.  Mentor staff in diagnosing and resolving complex software problems.  Develop documentation and deliver end-user training for systems. 
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level, as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with business and technical requirements analysis, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • 5 years of experience with process analysis and improvement.
  • Experience compiling data within HRIS.
  • Advanced skills in Excel to create macros, functions, formulas, pivot tables, and perform lookups.

An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.

 

Knowledge Requirements

  • HRIS systems, such as Oracle PeopleSoft.
  • Relational databases.
  • Human resources policies and practices.
  • Continual improvement processes, fit/gap analysis, documenting design, test planning, and test scripts.
  • Data management and security practices.

 

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to think critically, identify strengths and weaknesses and alternate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

 

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with PeopleTools, PeopleSoft, ICIMS, Lattice, and UKG.
  • Knowledge of workflow analyses, business system designs, and process re-engineering.
  • 3 years of experience with project management.
  • Certificate in one of the following areas:
    • Product Management
    • Project Management
    • Scrum
  • OR a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas, or similar:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Systems
    • HR management
    • Business Administration

Working Conditions

Hybrid telework may be available.  Availability is at management discretion and may not be available for this position based on the nature of the work.  Work is performed in an office environment and requires the use of office equipment and technology.  You will be required to move throughout and between different office buildings and may need to complete tasks in noisy environments. You may also be required to lift and carry materials up to 10 pounds occasionally.
