Overview

As a Senior IT Analyst, you will use your subject matter expertise to serve as a technical lead to the team responsible for Community Transit’s ongoing systems administration and day-to-day operations of business technology systems, as well as the delivery and support of Community Transit’s mid-tier and end-point technical infrastructure, including PeopleSoft platforms.  You will resolve complex technology issues and suggest and support process improvements for the IT team and the agency.  You are expected to self-manage, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks under little to no supervision.

Essential Duties

  • Design, build, implement, maintain, and support complex infrastructures including PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management) and FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management).  Perform complex system audits and ensure systems are functioning as expected.
  • Act as team, project, or technical lead.  Provide technical instruction, training, and mentorship.  Review the work of lower-level analysts on a broad array of systems or technologies.  Deconstruct work into tasks and identify and assign appropriate resources. 
  • Create complex reports, presentations, and documentation.  Develop meeting agendas and lead meeting discussions.  Capture and track actionable items to completion.
  • Lead communications between internal and external customers and vendors in support of technology systems.
  • Integrate new technology into the existing corporate technology ecosystem.  Prepare and maintain architecture and design configuration, and ensure documentation is updated accordingly.
  • Provide input into the development of policies and procedures to achieve client or organizational goals.  Collect feedback and implement changes to improve the user experience.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years of experience working in Information Technology, troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware, software, and network problems.  (A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for 4 years of experience.)
  • 7 years of experience providing full system support on complex customer-facing technology.
  • 5 years of experience administering and supporting systems, primarily PeopleSoft. 
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours to support critical systems and transit applications, as required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.

 

Knowledge Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing, building, implementing, and maintaining complex system infrastructures.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Certification in ITIL Framework.
  • Experience providing administration and support to 7 x 24 production systems.
  • Experience working with a virtual-based infrastructure.
  • Transit business and policy knowledge relating to customer service practices.
  • Strong Database Knowledge:  Proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server database management, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Base Benefits & Payroll Functionality:  Experience supporting base benefits and payroll functionality within PeopleSoft.
  • ETL Tools:  Experience with Azure Data Factory or SSIS for data integration.

Working Conditions

 

Hybrid telework may be available.  Availability is at management discretion and may not be available for this position based on the nature of the work.  Work is performed in an office environment and requires the use of office equipment and technology.  You will be required to move throughout and between different office buildings and may need to complete tasks in noisy environments.  You may also be required to lift and carry materials up to 10 pounds occasionally.
