Community Transit is looking for a Transit Service Planning Business Analyst to join our System Planning and Operational Design division. In this role, you will contribute to transit service design, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives by applying your knowledge of transit planning and operations alongside data-driven analysis. You will work closely with planning, operations, technology, and other stakeholders to evaluate service, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate business and planning needs into effective operational and technical solutions.
This is a transit planning role with a strong analytical and systems component. It is not primarily a software development, IT, or data engineering position. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate hands-on experience with transit service planning, scheduling, or operational planning and explain how they have used data and technology to support planning decisions.
Term-Limited Position: This position is funded as a term-limited assignment with a minimum duration of 12 months. Based on organizational needs and continued funding, the assignment may be extended for up to an additional 12 months. Appointment to this position does not guarantee continued employment beyond the term-limited assignment. If a regularly funded position becomes available during or following the assignment, the incumbent may be appointed to the position, subject to organizational policies, applicable employment requirements, and business needs. There is no guarantee of continued employment or appointment to a regular position.
